I used to own a Danby 1/4 kegerator which worked ok, This Haier Keg BrewMaster works great. it keeps my keg ice cold and do'es not over foam when I serve myself. My only disappointment was that it only had a single regulator and not the double, the single tells you how much pressure is going into your keg, but not how much Co2 your canister has left. Still, I highly recommend this product to beer lovers.
Great product, keeps beer cold and easy to assemble, Love to have a cold draft or 2 after work. Cheaper and better than any Pub, Only draw back plactic clamps for co2 tank go to a hardware store buy metal one for .50. 2nd thing I would change, get a regulator that show how much co2 is left in tank you get a singel gage spend the extra $50 at beverage factor on line you'll be happy if you do. It is amazing how many freinds you will have when they find out you bought one of these.
Received this for Christmas. The setup was very easy (takes about 30-45 minutes). Took about 24 hours to come to temperature. Set pressure on CO2 to a range of 9-12 psi depending on your personal preference. I'm getting a perfect 3/4 inch head on each glass at 11psi. Love it!!! A couple of recommendations: 1. Set a 2 gal bucket of water with thermometer inside to get accurate temperature set prior to getting keg. 2. Rather than trying to find someone to fill your CO2 cylinder, simply take yours to a gas supplier and exchange for a prefilled cylinder ($15). I found that many locations don't fill on site due to hazmat requirements. Anyway, would recommend the product a great buy but I will upgrade to a dual gauge regulator to monitor CO2 tank.
The Product is very Good. It is a little foamy for the first few beers. Easy to put together and very nice looking. The only thing that needs to be adjusted in the COs Reg, you bneed to increase the pressure. Very happy with it and it was a hit in NYE. If you have the Temp at the lowest setting the beer is very cold.
I bought this product for my husband's birthday. He loves it! He especially likes: the cleaning kit, the reinforced bottom (on the inside), the wheels on the bottom, and the large size (will take a 1/2keg, 1/4, etc). He is thrilled with the product. He is keeping the temp. at 34 degrees, and has the carb. right where he likes it. I got major brownie points for this gift. I am a hero now.
Overall good product... However, it did have a hole in the inner lining- definitely not from shipping- the box was in good condition. Just poor packaging. Also, the piece that the beer flows through is a bit flimsy and difficult to tighten, but now that it is together it works great!
good lookin unit. easy set up, rollers make it moveable, it could be a little bit colder. beer dispences at about 40 degrees, very quiet, fits large miller lite keg with plenty of room to get to the c\o bottle. it is a great addition to my computer room,
After unpacking and installing the casters I plugged it in and then read the part of the instructions that states to not plug the unit in for eight hours after assembly. Oh well... it seems to be functioning OK although the dial is on the coldest setting and it's just cold enough. Also, the top rail assembly did not mate with the predrilled holes. I had to redrill a couple to get it to fit. I cannot comment on durability since I've only had this item for a month. It's nice to have draft beer on tap and it's cheaper to buy 1/6 kegs that last for months instead of case every week or so.
Not exactly what I expected, but I would recomend this product overall. I have had mine for a month now and I set it at it's coldest setting. It does keep the beer at 39 which is in the recomended range, but not nearly as cold as I expected for the coldest setting. After a lot of tweaking have gotten the foaming to a minimum. Though I still have to wait a few minutes setteling time to get a full mug.
We ordered it through WM online site to store, which went well. But after 1 1/2 years of use, it just died. It also had trouble holding the temp sometimes. And we did not use it for holding other drinks at the same time. I saw lots of reviews on other sites with similar complaints, but we had to get this one to fit our space. Hope we can find a better replacement...
